Personnel Employment is a specialist employment agency assisting people with a disability to find and maintain employment in the mainstream workforce.

As one of South Australia's mostly highly rated Disability Employment Service (DES) providers, Personnel Employment supports over 700 clients and is proud to work with some of the State's leading employers.

Established in 1986, Personnel Employment is a division of Barkuma Incorporated, a member based, not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services to help people with a disability live and work in the community.

At Personnel Employment we believe that the opportunity to participate in paid employment is a fundamental right that can be life changing for a person with a disability. It brings with it with it a range of economic, social and personal benefits such as improved self esteem, the opportunity to make friends, and the ability to afford a car and a home. In most cases a job is central to a person's self identity and to helping achieve their ambitions and aspirations.

Recognising this, our approach is to match the skills and aspirations of clients with the needs of employers and provide comprehensive induction and training support and ongoing assistance to both clients and employers to ensure the employment relationship continues to meet the needs of both parties.
